The SWITCH Africa Green national networking forum in South Africa was held on the 27 - 28 June, 2017 . The main objective of the forum was to discuss the opportunities, challenges and barriers faced by the private sector in scaling up and replicating green business, transition to an inclusive green economy and promotion of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) practices and patterns in Africa. The forum also fostered networking between different project entities with other stakeholders involved in green business development and SCP activities. There was also an exhibition from participating enterprises during the forum.
Participants were drawn from the National Technical Coordination Committee (NTCC), SWITCH Africa Green projects (grants) in South Africa and other stakeholders involved in SCP activities in the country, including: government representatives, financial institutions, international development organisations, civil society and the private sector.
